Oscillicious has released a new update to BeatCleaver, the beat slicer and sampling audio editor software for Windows and Mac.
BeatCleaver is a tool for slicing loops and sampling from songs or recordings. With one-click slice templates, smooth zoom, and drag export, the BeatCleaver chopping and sampling workflow is designed to be quick and frustration-free.
Version 1.4 adds the RapidEdit audio editing engine, enabling edits and effects to be applied and manipulated in real-time with unlimited undo. The new Edit Mode allows audio to be non-destructively edited on-the-fly for easy tweaking. In addition to the existing slicing and time-stretching capabilities of BeatCleaver, drum loops and samples can now be rearranged after chopping.
New features in BeatCleaver 1.4.0 include:
- Real-time Audio Editing - Amplify, Normalize, Fade in/out, Trim, Delete, and Mute audio from samples, beats, and songs.
- Slice to MIDI - Export the timing of slices as notes in a MIDI file, for reconstructing beats and grooves later in a DAW.
- Automatic BPM detection - Get the tempo of samples, loops, and songs.
- Easier Time-Stretching - Pitch and tempo controls are now integrated into the main window.
