Oscillicious has released a major update to BeatCleaver, the beat slicer and sampling software for Windows and Mac OS X.
BeatCleaver is a tool for slicing loops and sampling from songs or recordings. With one-click slice templates, smooth zoom, and drag export, the BeatCleaver sampling workflow is designed to be quick and frustration-free.
Version 1.3 new features include:
- A cutting-edge time stretching engine. Now chop, stretch, and repitch samples with BeatCleaver. Better yet, this new engine is designed to preserve musical character, including transients, when stretching.
- Drag Export Mode, allowing slices to be dragged right out of BeatCleaver and onto the desktop, a folder, or a DAW.
- FLAC audio support, allowing sampling from FLAC encoded audio files.
- Configurable WAVE export bit depth (8, 16, 24, and 32-bit).
Price: $29 / €24 / £19 from the Oscillicious Shop. It is a free upgrade for all existing owners.
A free trial version is also available on the Oscillicious downloads page.
