Cognitone has updated Synfire, its Music Prototyping Studio, to version 2.2.4. The update includes many bug fixes and improvements.

- New coloring scheme "Tonnetz".
- Audio Engine: Plug-ins scanned up to 800% faster.
- Device Editor: Convert a regular device to a template.
- Preferences: Select the default startup window.
- Library: Ability to assign a sound to all pools in a folder.
- Example Piano: Added and improved some pools with factories.
- Select foreground and background instrument from separate menus.
- Import articulations from Cubase Expression Maps.
