Projet Home Studio launches "Comment Mixer Kick & Basse" Training Videos
Projet Home Studio has announced the launch a new training course for electronic and urban music: Comment Mixer Kick & Basse (How to Mix Kick & Bass) - in the form of over 2 hours of videos divided into 5 chapters, teaching you how to mix your kick and bass tracks from your home studio, using the same techniques as those 'used by the pros'.
Offering a clear, structured approach, this course (beginner to intermediate level) is mainly based on concrete practice: based on 2 mini-songs (downloadable, along with 3 other examples for practice), trainer Adrien Perinot teaches you to hear the problems of the mix and shows you exactly the techniques for correcting them.
The following topics are covered:
- Track level management;
- Frequency management (classic EQ, analog-style EQ, mid/side EQ, dynamic EQ, etc.);
- Time management (both in terms of composition and of dynamics, using classic and multiband compressors in particular);
- Saturation of the kick to help it stand out (including an advanced envelope-based technique);
- Added sonic cohesion between kick & bass for a professional "finished product" feel.
The training "Mastering en Home Studio" is available as of today in three different editions:
- Basic (80€ until 11/25 then 120€) — the video training with the raw tracks only;
- Standard (110€ until 11/25 then 150€) — similar to the Basic edition, but also including an access to a private Facebook support group;
- Pro (140€ until 11/25 then 180€) — similar to the Standard edition, but also including a custom mix critique (video format).
