How can you spend years sampling EVERYTHING and not make music yourself? I've been asking myself that one for the past 10+ years. Anyway, I'm posting in the SR forum to let you know that I'm putting out my first-ever "solo album" with me doing all the writing, producing and singing. I've got some incredible guests on the album including Steve Hackett (Genesis), Keith Emerson (ELP), Francis Dunnery (It Bites), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), Nick D'Virgilio (Tears for Fears), David Longdon (Big Big Train), Jason Scheff (Chicago), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) and I'm also using Nick Mason Drums (drummer of Pink Floyd), a Sonic Reality product I recorded with Alan Parsons and on another track I'm using Hugh Padgham's sample collection both of which are available exclusively from http://www.esoundz.com
I made a Kickstarter campaign to fund the album. I don't know if you're familiar with the band I was in with Phil Collins' son Simon called "Sound of Contact" but that was released on a label and this new album I'm doing is being done independently. GOOD news is that the campaign already reach funding and there's still 2 weeks left where you can get alternate versions, bonus tracks, signed keys and swaggy extras. It's essentially an elaborate pre-order page that uses Amazon for payment. Check it out and if you have any questions about it you can ask here or over there. I use a LOT of Sonic Reality and IK Multimedia products in the production.
Here's the link. At least watch the video on this page. It's a great example of hearing sounds and software mixed with live players in this type of musical context. Thanks! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/da ... ve-kerzner
