Acon Digital Remix is the first plug-in capable of separating instrument groups in a mix – so called stems – in real-time with an acceptable latency. Remix uses cutting edge technology based on artificial intelligence to separate complete mixes into five stems – Vocals, Piano, Bass, Drums and Other. These stems can be remixed so that you can easily increase the level of the vocals, reduce the level of the drums or even create a karaoke version.
Remix lets you control the sensitivity of the detection for each separate stem so that you can find the optimal balance between artifacts and spill. All the parameters are fully automatable.
In addition to the output with the signal mix, Remix offers separate outputs for each stem. You can route the outputs to separate tracks if your host allows it, thus making it possible to use insert effects as if you had five separate tracks.
Acon Digital Remix is available as VST, VST3 or AAX for both Windows and Mac or as AU plug-ins for Mac. There are 32 and 64-bit versions for Windows. The Mac version is 64-bit and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel processors.

I remember being astonished by iZotope RX Music Rebalance in 2018.
I remember being excited by Stagecraft Software, Simple Stems.
I do NOT agree with Simon Heyden, Music Producer, who states that ''The quality of these stems is exceptional''. It is pretty good. Good enough to be useful to me. Certainly not perfect and certainly not exceptional.
I bought it after demoing. It's great to have a tool like this available in my DAW of choice. I'm happy with my purchase in 2023.

Remix by Acon Digital is simple amazing. .. especially for the price. I used as a plugin with my DAW and inside Acoustica. In both cases, the results were mostly astonishing. I dropped an old rockabilly song in there. I figured that would be an ideal start-point as it was a 4-track recording with Drums, Bass, Guitar, and Vocals. I flew through the presets, i.e., Karaoke, Separate Bass, Separate Drums, Separate Piano, and Separate Vocals. Each preset worked perfectly. .. removing/isolating. The only place I struggled was separating the guitar. However, separating Vox, Drums, and Bass worked flawlessly. I was amazed at how each instrument completely vanished without losing the other stuff.
Remix boasts a neat/clean, easy to use/inviting interface with a responsive scaling feature. I will certainly make great use of Remix. .. so many exciting ways to utilize this tool for music production. I look forward to upcoming updates. I give it a 9/10 (so far) and a big fat thumbs up.
