We introduce our first soundbank for Arturia JUP-8 V under the name Old Times. This is also available for Analog Lab V users.

All 30 patches of this soundbank carry a heavy vintage character of the legendary synth that JUP-8 V emulates. They are classic polysynth keys and one of the most notable ingredients is the various usage of the Dispersion which adds analog like tasty imperfection to various elements of sound. They are mainly focused on cinematic, game audio and soundtrack productions in a classic way deriving from the past. New age, progressive rock, vintage electronic, Synthwave and experimental are also genres that those patches could find their place within the music.

Old Time 01 is a classic polysynth of the 80's decade and Old Time 02 is more focused and has a nice movement in its sound. Old Time 03 is a bright plucky key and Old Time 04 is a sci-fi synth with emotional vibe. Old Time 08 is really full and warm while Old Time 12 exhales a very retro temper. Old Time 13 is a bright synth string ensemble and finally Old Time 15 is crispy.

Experiment with the various dispersion options for more dimensional sounds. Also sometimes as the sound has motion through left and right side of the stereo field you may consider to add a HP filter when mixing. On most patches I have used the HP included in the JUP-8 V but this is mostly a matter of taste.

The four macros are assigned to the Cut-Off frequency point of the LP filter, to the resonance of the LP filter, to a delay device which can be found in the middle slot of the effect lane (I put it in the middle so it is easier to add a reverb or a compressor in the final position. Sometimes I also use this final position with various effects) and finally to the release of the AMP envelope.

All presets designed with Jup-8 V 4.4.1.2983 (x64) and run best with this or newer edition.

Analog Lab V edition requires at least version Analog Lab V 5.6.3.2983 (x64) or newer.
