Colours: Animator

Animator is ProjectSAM's homage to classic animation scoring, containing a library of whimsical and characterful articulations, phrases and special effects. Played on an ensemble that consists of (bass) clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, violin, contrabass, piano, harp and percussion, the sounds in Animator are reminiscent of the Warner Bros. cartoons of the 40s.

Perfect for adding quirky effects to cartoon, animation, ad and game scores, Animator features laughing clarinets, jazzy staccatos, xylophone winks and trombone slides – all with independent pitch and speed control, tempo syncing and on-the-fly octave shifting. Additional controls such as reverb and an attack and release shaper offer further sound shaping possibilities.

The sonic blend of the library can be managed in real time using Animator's three microphone mixing options: Close, Stage and Far. All sounds were recorded with meticulous attention to detail, in the same concert hall setting that ProjectSAM's flagship orchestral collections were captured.

Animator belongs to ProjectSam's Colours series, which also includes Adaptive Runs and Orchestrator.
