WIMMS updates WoodSynth to v3.7 with VST3 for NI NKS2 MK3 and AU for Logic Pro with midiv2 UMP 32-bits
Woodman's Immaculate Maple Syrup Studio has released WoodSynth v3.7 for macOS and iOS.
The VST3 now supports the new NI NKS2 MK3 Kontrol-S keyboards:
- Synth parameters are now grouped (oscillators, envelope, delay, etc) and a group can be selected by the top buttons for fast access.
- The keyboard controls now have much more types like waveforms, menus, off/on, etc.
The AU and AU instrument now support MIDI v2 UMP 16/32-bits for Logic Pro on macOS:
- MIDI v2 UMP notes or CCs with 16-bits velocity or 32-bits CC values, sent to Logic Pro (e.g. by WoodTroller), will now be handled at full resolution in WoodSynth when the Logic Pro checkbox "MIDI v2" is on.
- Unfortunately new MIDI v2 commands like "Pitch Per Note" are not passed to the AU plugin.
- Also, Logic Pro also does not pass MIDI SysEx messages to the plugin which prevents MIDI v2 CI property exchange.
Other changes:
- Fixed display of some params in the Korg Keyscape MIDI v2 keyboards.
- Fixed problem when DAW reloads state which uses a sample file.
- Added a subtle hint to the bottom buttons (in the classic iPad view) that there is a left and right difference.
