Silencer by Wide Blue Sound is a VST3 host plugin, specifically designed for hosting reverb. The "Timegate", resets the reverb signal after each note, preventing the accumulation of undesirable reverb between notes. This functionality is designed to improve clarity and intelligibility in mixes.
The plugin allows users to integrate their existing VST reverbs and apply the Timegate process, resulting in a cleaner reverb following each transient. The Timegate module is complemented by three proprietary FX modules—Strip, Focus EQ, and Sidechain—that provide additional control over the wet reverb signal.
Silencer also functions as a Reverb Manager, enabling users to save and organize their favorite reverb setups, regardless of the plugins used. It supports the addition of third-party VST effects to the reverb chain.
The plugin runs in VST3, AU, and AAX formats but loads only VST3 plugins.
