Sonic Sorcery Sounds Vol.1: Bea 5
The sounds for this volume where produced in studio Bea5, the voltage controlled studio at the Institute for Sonology in The Hague, Netherlands, a modular studio with great historical value. It is fully operational, and accessible only to sonology students and sonologists. The sound of the modules in the studio is unique and many modules were built within the institute itself.
The material was recorded from the studio's patch board using an ADDA 2402 converter by Digital Audio Danmark into Protools. The results were edited and processed with a digidesign TDM mix system, and various DSP plugins.
Sonic Sorcery Sounds Vol.2: Digital Different
This set was realized using various techniques in the digital domain; from simple time domain editing and plug-in chaining to granular synthesis and spectral manipulation.
Part of a trilogy, there are two more but different titles coming, Universum are focused and committed on preparing 'unheard as yet' sophisticated New Keyboard Sounds (i.e. No drumloops, No Orchestras, etc.).
Sonic Sorcery Sounds is available as download in Kontakt II, HALion, EXS24MKII, GS3 and MACH5 formats for $60.
Waves of land
This ~390 MB library contains various approaches to sound and its use. It is divided into rhythmical loops, pads, single sounds and construction sets and is available as a whole or in slices. Tempos range from 80-140 BPM and the overall atmosphere leans towards ambient - the samples are not meant to provide hooks and leads, they are meant to innovate, to alter, to add an exotic flavour, a sonic signature to an otherwise clean mix, it can create a psychological tension for a movie or it can just trigger creative ideas.
Waves of land costs: WAV $60 / REX $30.
