SoulviaSound has released REDD, a new hybrid synthesizer for Kontakt.
REDD is a virtual synthesizer based on a wavetable recorded from popular analog and virtual analog synthesizers like Minimoog, Korg MS20, Doepfer, Virus B, Oberheim, etc. Modulations, envelopes, filters and FX are based on the Kontakt engine and the reverb used by REDD is based on the impulse response created with Bricasti M7 V2.1 and loaded in “Convolution” Send FX slot from Kontakt 4.2 with 0 latency setting.
The REDD wavetable contain 35 sampled VCO, DCO, noise generators and analog tape hiss, altered later in Kontakt. VCO and DCO are sampled note by note and you can load each of the 35 sources in 9 different “OSC sources” structured by 3 in each of the 3 layers ( A, B, C).
In the “Mod & FX” tab you will find 2 LFOs (a simple LFO and a complex LFO) that can modulate volume, filters freq and pan for each of the 9 sources. In the “Modulation Matrix” section you can modify the modulation amount for each of the 9 sources.
REDD tab also has an Arpeggiator, MIDI Delay and voicing control. This product will be updated with new sources, new modulation features and new presets. You’ll also find a LITE version that contains only 1 layer (3 sources) if you feel that normal version uses too many resources.
REDD has 92 presets in the full version and about 18 presets in Demo version.
REDD is available now for €49.99.
