ProjectSAM has announced the release of Lineage Percussion for the free Kontakt Player.
The collection covers a selection of 70 orchestral percussion instruments, and also makes use of Adaptive Sync – ProjectSAM's onboard technology for keeping crescendos and swells in time with a project, even through multiple tempo changes.
With XY Stage mode, you can position each instrument into your desired place on the stage. Back, front, far-left, far-right, and anywhere in between. The Premixed mic option lets you run with a ready-engineered setup, while the Custom Mix lets you blend level and panning between Close, Stage and Far mics, plus the Premixed feed mentioned before.
You can choose the articulations and keyswitch settings that work for you, and gain more control over the sound and performance of an individual instrument. Determine how an instrument responds to velocity and modulation wheel settings, and select the Round Robin behaviour for repeating notes. The Note Stacker lets you layer multiple tonal sounds into intervals or whole chords.
ProjectSAM's Creative Director, Maarten Spruijt, said this of the release:
ProjectSAM goes way back with orchestral percussion. 20 years after the release of our first orchestral percussion collection, True Strike, we've become masters of our craft, and today's computers have grown to handle ever more detailed and versatile percussion libraries. With Lineage Percussion, we've pushed ourselves and our technology further to reach a new level of detail.
Price: $399.
ProjectSAM also offer two free orchestral libraries for Kontakt (and Kontakt Player). The Free Orchestra and The Free Orchestra 2 are available for free at projectsam.com
