Pluginguru updates Unify to v1.8 - Adds Random Patch Selection, updated search tools and more
PlugInGuru.com has updated Unify to version 1.8 with some new features designed to make working with Unify more fun than ever:
- Random Patch Selection - New "dice" icon in the interface allows you to randomly select from any patches listed in the browser list. Limit the list with the search tools and change Patch loading mode to "Unify Layer" and any patch selected is added to your existing patch. Up to 24 Patches can be loaded into a single patch and with the random button you can let Unify select the patches it will load for you.
- Unified Libraries exist now for over 50 of instrument plug-ins including Phase Plant, Serum, Dune 3, Plasmonic, Zebra2 and so many more. Over 20,000 patches are available which makes the random Patch dice even more fun to use.
- Search is now able to be limited to a specific library and will show only metadata related to that library.
- Keys on the built in keyboard are able to be colored and labeled to help know the layout of a patch visually. You can make new KeyZone maps with a text editor.
- A Patch can now also include linked media including images or any .html document online or offline. For example the 1st patch "Arrival - 0 - Welcome to Unify." has a photo of a galaxy embedded you can access by clicking the image box to view.
- Now ships with 625 Patches and over 300 of the factory patches were updated to add 4 Macro Knobs for added sonic flexibility.
- A Global Gain control exists in the standalone version of Unify to adjust the global output and will stay consistent as you change patches.
- Numerous updates to .sfz format for compatibility with Bjoern's Sample Mapper tools that allow users to easily get their own samples into Unify's GuruSampler instrument.
Unify 1.8 is a free update for all users.
