Native Instruments Absynth 2 announced

Native Instruments have announced Absynth 2 will be released in May 2003, featuring powerful new features like integrated sampling and granular sampling, tempo synchronization, advanced envelope control, OS X compatibility (Audio Units / CoreAudio / CoreMIDI), and much more. .

All Absynth users will be able to update to Absynth 2.0 for 99 Euro.

Absynth 2 features:
  • Semi-modular synthesizer combining multiple synthesis techniques and granular sampling.
  • Exceptional range of organic and expressive sounds.
  • More than 800 presets included.
  • Waveform editor for creating custom waveforms.
  • Tempo-synced breakpoint envelopes can control nearly every parameter.
  • (New) Conventional sampling with linked pitch and time.
  • (New) Granular sampling for atmospheric, freezing, and time-stretching effects.
  • (New) Integrated waveform, envelope, and oscillator library for easy patch creation.
  • (New) Many envelope enhancements, including full MIDI control and Link mode.
  • (New) Improved filters, anti-aliasing oscillators, and more efficient CPU utilization.
  • (New) Improved Plug-In implementation (Each Plug-In can open its own bank, and the Absynth Engine is no longer needed to play sounds).
