Native Instruments has announced the release of Lores, part of the Evolution Series for Kontakt and Kontakt Player.
Lores features 16 instruments and over 300 hand-played articulations to mix and match, from classic woodwinds to rare chordophones with a focus on evolving soundscapes.
Lores dissolves the boundaries of traditional instrumentation allowing for the creation of blends between traditional strings and eclectic instruments, such as the hurdy-gurdy and shakuhachi. Hear what Mongolian horse fiddle sounds like accompanying medieval pipes or layered with Middle Eastern violin. Random swells, unexpected tremolos, and stray harmonics create organic variations at the performance level.
Lores is modelled after the core workflow of award-winning film and television composer Shorter Clinton. A creative space for playful experimentation, instruments can be staged within multi-dimensional smoke plumes or subtly tuned with dynamic effects.
Price: $199.00.
