Majetone has released Extended Glockenspiel for Kontakt.
They say:
We here at Majetone like recording acoustic instruments with techniques that are difficult or impossible to play acoustically - take for example 'Pong' - a ping pong ball dropped on to the keys.
The instrument includes regular playing options and additional mic and performance options.
The instrument includes:
- 1800+ samples (24-bit/48k).
- For Kontakt 5.8.1+.
- 8 performance options:
- Hard - Hard Mallet.
- Soft - Soft Mallet.
- Magnet - Single Coil Pickup - think a celeste meets a Rhodes.
- Ping - A ping pong ball on a stick played as a mallet.
- Pong - A ping pong ball dropped on the key.
- Bow - Bowed with a cello bow.
- Tape - A physical tape tremolo with an 80's Fisher Price Cassette Recorder.
- Stretch - Digitally stretched, giving a granular/digital synthesis texture.
