Embertone has announced the release of Whistler Ensemble, a 5-piece whistling ensemble for Kontakt.
Embertone wanted to capture the organic sound of a group whistling, so they gathered five professional composers and recorded the results. The instrument features two legato styles: "Normal" legato, like a smooth slur and "Emo" legato, which is more immediate and emphasized. Users can control the amount of wind/air noise that they want. When removed, the result sounds like an eerie sine wave.
The virtual instrument responds flexibly and dynamically via CC or Velocity control, and keyswitches are fully customizable.
Embertone is releasing the Whistler Ensemble at the discounted price of $18 until Thursday night, when their Black Friday Sale ends.
