Bremmers Audio Design have released MultitrackStudio 7.7 for Windows and Mac OS X and updated MultitrackStudio for iPad to version 1.3.2.
Changes MultitrackStudio 7.7 for Windows and Mac OS X
Editors:
- Track editors ('part mode'), Multi MIDI Editor and Multitrack Editor: data moves visually while dragging/stretching/warping selected part.
- Drum editor: instruments can be re-ordered by dragging the names up or down.
- Drum editor no longer prematurely removes empty instruments.
- Dragging from audio to drum editor now always converts to beats rather than pitched notes.
- Pianoroll/score/drum editors: lassoed notes are now audible.
- Pianoroll/score: flattened/sharpened note is audible on clicking note using flatten/sharpen modifier key.
- Score Settings window no longer prematurely removes redundant key signature lines (from 'Edit changes' table).
- Audio editor Edit Control: Semitones and Cents boxes merged into a single box.
Remote Control:
- Renamed 'Control Surface' to 'Remote Control'.
- Remote Control MIDI devices selection and Remote Control Bar visibility button moved to Remote Control window.
- Remote Control: effect knobs can be mapped from Remote Control Bar or via new 'Effect Control Map' action.
- Remote Control: mixer section or effect control can be unmapped by dragging it from Remote Control Bar to Garbage Bin.
Other:
- 'Stop playback at end of song' option in Preferences window.
- F8 key = Recycle (cycle last cycled part again).
- Click track: bar accents are more pronounced.
- MultitrackStudio Instruments and External MIDI Instrument windows: right-click a control to make the corresponding controller editor visible.
- 'Export MIDI Tracks' can merge tracks using same MIDI channel, so file plays back correctly.
- (Windows) Touchscreen mode: editor 'Select All' button is now 'Sel', offers Select All/Select Right/Unselect Right/Play Cycling options.
- (Mac) Can install libmp3lame.dylib MP3 encoder by dropping it on main form.
- 'Record Master' is removed from recording options menu. An audio track's input selector now features a 'Master Out' option instead.
- 'Playback mixed down file' no longer switches off 'Enable Mixer' (in Song Properties window). The 'Enable Mixer' option will likely be removed in future releases.
- Audio Input Control window: 'Automatically assign channels to tracks' is now off by default. This option will likely be removed in future releases.
- DX/DXi plugin support is disabled by default but still available (32-bit Windows versions only).
