Audio Brewers releases 'This is NOT a Piano' for Kontakt - Sounds fed through a Piano filled with Speakers then recorded in Stereo and Ambisonics

Audio Brewers has released a new sample library for Kontakt called This is NOT a Piano, which introduces experimental ways to capture sound design in acoustic environments.

Twenty Articulations were especially designed to be played through the body of a piano in order to capture its resonance.

The piano was filled with speakers pointing at its body and soundboard and then the articulations were played through its range to make it resonate.

The piano resonances were captured both with pedal down and pedal up, to be able to later reproduce its behaviour.

Keystrokes were also included to offer further immersion to the interpreter.

As it is usual with all Audio Brewers products, 'This is NOT a Piano' was recorded, mixed and delivered both in Ambisonics and Stereo formats, making it natively compatible with any speaker-array configuration from Stereo all the way to Surround and Atmos beds.
