This exciting workshop is for anyone wanting to get more out of Alchemy in Logic Pro X. It is widely considered to be the most innovative synth in the world and with good reason. There is almost nothing that cannot be accomplished with Alchemy. With several different types of synthesis to work with and countless processing techniques waiting to be discovered, it's the fastest way to access the next generation of sound-design. In this special event, we will introduce you to game-changing ideas, tools and workflows that will forever change the way you think about sound.
Alchemy expert, Jor van der Poel, has developed this workshop exclusively for Pyramind and we could not be more thrilled to be hosting it. If you've ever wondered how additive, granular or spectral synthesis actually works and how they can be used in your music, you do not want to miss this unique opportunity.
Workshop Overview
During the first half of this workshop, you will improve your overall understanding and confidence with Alchemy's many sample-based features. You'll learn what the different import modes do and how they work. You will also learn which methods work best for various types of sounds.
In the second half of the workshop, we will look at these import modes in greater detail, with specific examples to put things into context for you. We will, for example, learn how we can turn a vocal sample into a playable synth sound, or how to synthesize entirely new unique instruments from familiar timbres. These are just two examples of simple workflows that we will develop together, but there is so much more to explore during this event.
Alchemy is not a synth to be mastered in one evening, however, after this workshop, you'll be able to use it with confidence and explore sounds freely with the most groundbreaking and innovative features while maintaining a focus on making music and creating sounds intentionally.
