Bitwig forgets my Audio Track Settings??? 5.1.2/3x OSX

Arrgh. This is super frustrating on last few 5x versions
I have to open Bitwig Audio preferences and recreate mono and stereo audio channel inputs every time with latest versions on OSX Monterey machine eg redefining channels on ADAT and Aggregate device(s) that are predefined in osx Audio Midi Setup as always ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ …this behaviour is specific to BitWig so Logic a lot less hassle for hardware and 'analog' recording. What's up with this?
Has something changed in how Bitwig stores this information?

Do you get this every time you start it or update it?

I'm on 5.1.3 it's asking me to go to 5.1.5 now <sigh>
it's the first time it's started happening and it sucks.
i guess i should write to Bitwig directly? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
