Hi,

What's an expert book on music theory on or including, Christian Schubart and emotions. Or just a book on emotions and the keys...

Thanks,

Your question goes beyond traditional music theory to what I would call esoteric musicology. Also a lot of music's emotional effects depend on cultural conditioning, and not just acoustics. Plus it makes a huge difference if you're talking about Western 12 tone equal tempered music vs. Just Intonation. I've spent a lot of time weeding out the charlatans in the field beyond trad theory and can recommend:
- LaMonte Young & Marian Zazeela - Sound & Light
- Dane Rudhyar - The Magic of Tone and the Art of Music
- Kay Gardner - Sounding the Inner Landscape

For emotions in music, don't overlook some of the books on sound design for cinema. The sounds and music in cinema are closely tied to the emotions that the producer wants to instill in the viewer.
