In the recent LinnStrument News - July 1, 2023 it is written:

...And every LinnStrument owner gets a free license for Bitwig 8-Track, so your existing Bitwig 8-Track license will allow you to upgrade to Bitwig 8-Track 5.0.

Really? Has anyone done this?

If I check for updates my Bitwig 8-Track tells me:

release 1.352018 from March 2017
No updates available. You are running the latest version of Bitwig 8-Track.

Ideas?

I'm sorry, dr_loop. I just discovered that my understand of the 8-Track license was wrong. The license lasts forever but upgrades to newer versions are only allowed for one year after first activating the license. Sorry for my error.

Thanks Roger, that's what I suspected.
Isn't so bad anyway, I have Ableton Live and now with its big improvements regarding MPE its my choice of DAW (again) anyway. Just thought I play around with Bitwig for a while, especially exploring its OSC capabilities, that's the one thing Live 11 (10 actually) has broken.
