Ok so I've been playing around with U-he Zebra2 and U-he has implemented a feature in Zebra that lets the user alter the Oscillator with FFT based effects.
Now I'm curious if something like that could be implemented as an effect in a Granular based instrument. The effects could alter the grains and even be modulated to drastically alter the sound.
I'm not sure how feasible it is, but do you think something like this could be possible?
Spectral FFT effects in a Granular delay/instrument?

V0RT3X, if you are on OS X, check out Michael Norris' Soundmagic Spectral suite, there's a plugin in that suite called Spectral Granulation that does delay granulation entirely in the frequency domain. It's pretty wild and I never encountered any other plugins doing a similar job. Very unique.

no OS X, so spectral stuff, i can do with Reaktor. and other stuff.
but FFT for granular processing opens a domain that can really add something, in my opinion.
i hope there are some ideas, and implementation ideas.
