Hello,I am one of the developers of a new project (actually we've been
making it for more that a year and at some point ported it to iPhone
OS) - Noise.io, the first noise/sound synth for iPhone/iPod Touch.
I've put up a website for it: http://noise.io (http://noise.io)
Basically Noise.io reflects the idea of Kaoss pad in a way - it offers an endless range of sounds that could be extracted by sliding fingers at the touch screen of iPhone/iPod Touch.
As you move your finger over the Control Surface, the sound parameters are changed smoothly in real time, producing the sweetest noises ever.
Three control axis are available - Up/Down, Left/Right and In/Between (that's the distance between the fingers when a user makes Multi-Touch over the Control Surface).
You can also use the Accelerometer to control various sound parameters. Although tests show it's not too usable, it's quite fun nevertheless
Noise.io utilizes ESFM (Enhanced Subspace Frequency Modulation) synthesis and is the first official true iPhone synth.
Noise.io will be available on August 25th in AppStore priced $6.99 (Yes we do think that current music apps in AppStore are overpriced)
More information, screenshots etc is available at the website http://noise.io (http://noise.io)
