VSTi Sampler that can Load MP3 Samples???

Just out of curiosity is there a VSTi Sampler that can Load MP3 Samples? I have yet to come across one that did so I was just wondering if anyone else has ever seen one?

not that i'm aware of. and probably for a good reason - i would strongly advise to stay far away from lossy compression at the very first stage of the music production process (which a sampler represents, for that matter). for me, lossy compression is only acceptable as the very last stage (after mastering the completely finished song).
but i'm not sure why you post this question in my support forum - by error? or do you want to suggest, i should write one? well, should i ever write a sampler, it will support .flac but not lossy formats. as specifically for mp3 - i think there would be also licensing issues. ...wasn't there recently a thread in the instruments forum about exactly this question?
