Modulation wheel permanently attached to curve morph

MacOS Ableton 11, 12, launch plugin, move mod wheel on controller, waveform curve morph knob moves. Nothing in matrix, no direct modulation assignment. I don't see it listed as a known issue, nothing in the manual indicating this is expected behavior.

Click the cog wheel in the upper right corner and check the MIDI table page. It has most likely been MIDI learned at some point. You can edit or remove the assignment there.

That was it. The strange thing is that I've been using a piano-action controller that doesn't have a mod wheel, and only noticed this when I turned on a synth controller that has one to troubleshoot a velocity modulation that didn't sound right with a different source. I've been using Ableton 12 beta, maybe it did something weird. In any case, thanks, I would not have thought to check that, I usually don't use learned midi controllers.
