Hi guys, new member here. I need advice.
I am building a new pc for music and video editing. I'm a beginner and I'll use it for guitar recording and making rock music, so nothing too fancy. Drum track, bass, guitar and vocals. I also want to make simple videos for Youtube, like tutorials, videos for kids, etc.
My budget is app. 1300 to 1400euros, without peripherals.
My first doubt is should I go Intel or Amd? Which is better in this budget for audio and video editing?
I still don't now what audio interface should I buy, maybe Focusrite 2i2 or something similar in entry budget. For Daw I will probably use Cakewalk or Mixcraft. For video still not sure since I am a beginner.
Can you please suggest me a pc configuration for my needs?
Thanks!

If you go with AMD, Asus Prime X670-P works straight out of the box (well I have disabled wifi and bluetooth in BIOS so if you need those then I do not know).

I personally think Focusrite 2i2 is quite ... low in the list, sure it is cheap but at 64 samples when latency is at 8ms and cpu usage is high ... not for me.

I would, if needing external usb device, even check out the used RME's. Sure they cost more but in my long experience they just work better and faster without hassle (that German Quality Engineering!).

Hi, thanks for answering. Why do i need to disable wifi and bluetooth? Not that I need them, just asking.
I am a beginner so I am thinking about focusrite, Audient iD4 mkii or EVO4, not sure if I can go with RME, it is not in my budget for now.
My main concern is if there is a difference between AMD and Intel when using usb audio interfaces? Will I have more problems with one or another?

I like to use this website when determining which hardware components I'd like to use for a build
This site is good because it offers real life benchmarks
This site is bad because it doesn't tell you the features of each of the items bench marked. You have to do you homework there

I disabled them because I do not need them, it has been my habit to edit BIOS settings before installing OS. Wifi has been known to be a culprit in making audio cutoffs and so is Bluetooth. This of course depends a lot on hardware, but as you said, you do not need them either so better to just disable :)

I think the focusrite works fine, just is a bit more latency than some of the competition.

I do not know why there should be any difference whether its AMD or Intel with USB's. There is one caveat: if motherboard has some extra USB controller, this is also better to disable and use the chipsets own. You'll find these in the specs of motherboards on their respective websites.

Then again, looking what specialist PC Audio builders have in store could be beneficial too.

I don't edit video, but this would be a decent PC for DaVinci Resolve.
