I don't understand the question. Can you explain what you mean by "separate drums and bass" please?

Not 100% sure what you mean but assume you are maybe asking about how to ensure the drums and bass do not clash and have their own space.

If so there are a few options.

1. Simply ensure your bass is not playing the same time as your kick.

2. If your bass is playing at the same time (likely with DNB) then consider sidechaining to the kick or using dynamic eq to duck the bass when the kick hits.

It may also be worth splitting your bass into a sub layer and then top layer (above 120hz as a example) as this can give more control if using dynamic eq.

Couple ideas
Put a delay on the bass by a few ms upto 15ms either plus or minus

Try a volume shaper on your bass

Have a shorter kick, not a long release @ about 100-120hz to not interfere with the bass

Yeah very good points Euston ,

Audio (the artist ) just has unbelievable production , I think it centres a lot around the mix and choice of drums
