Hi all,

Last year I built a Raspberry Pi based guitar effects pedal and I finally got around to writing a blog post on it:

Hope this is useful! Feel free to reply here or contact me with any comments.

How did you find that particular USB device for guitar? The product page seems to indicate its for consumer Mic in, not high impedance for guitar, so do you find it a bit lacking in bass response?. What's the latency like?
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

The device (a simple SoundBlaster Play 3) worked surprisingly well. I had one from another project to test with prior to buying a dedicated one.

I can't speak to the frequency response. If anyone can suggest a good way to measure this, I'd be happy to try it out. Also note that I don't plug into a guitar amp, I use this unit with a PA.

The latency is fine (that is, I don't find it perceptible). Jack settings are -p 128 -n 2 (128 frames per period, 2 periods). If I had to guess (and I do, as once again, I haven't measured it) I'd say under 10ms?
