# Score/add music to a 3 min movie or clip.
# Asian Music
# Music of your personality
# French Baguette accordion music.
# Dedicate a song to your instrument and make it shine, with expression and feeling. (Just did that in a swedish contest)

Another suggestion (from my son) - find an 'interesting' public domain sound or snippet of music, say 5-10 seconds, which has to be used as the intro to a composition. It would be cool to see how many different ways one sound could be developed into a full piece.D.H. Miltz wrote:Thanks, kryptonaut and Hellfog.

I'm out this month, sorry.
I finally came up with a (rather good) idea, but a bit too late to get something together without rushing it completely .
(Besides, some of my tendons and muscles try to tell me that it's not a good idea to spend too much time in front of the keyboard for the rest of the month...!)

there seem to be artefacts in the mp3 file, i posted, which aren't in the wav file. i try to find another converter and post it again, if i'm allowed to do it.
i'm very sorry!
problem fixed. file can be redownloaded.

some reviews
Thomekk:
nothing sounds like it should. there is despair and an air of uselessness. the voice is a loophole, text on repeat. he tried to think, but there's no answer. fab song.
ClaRago:
subcutaneous vibe never really bursts out, but leads into an irritating jubilate and finally distorts. clever.
Hellfog:
suspensive beginning emerges into thoughtful krautiness. especially the sad part is beautiful, but i don't like the vox sample.
davidstiles:
grand epic sadness, very well executed. the instruments sound really real, not like sampled stuff. beautiful melody lines. excellent.
ericbourne:
this is the funeral for the skeleton crew. well done.
rifftrax:
soundtrack for the contemporary fighter. a good track. 2014, not 1914.
RuediRena:
this could continue my Juli 1914 tune: the whole war in three movements. it's not easy to show off, but this musical piece is able to blend the ridiculous and the madness. mastermind.
Laguna Rising:
prog madness with subsonics. i can imagine the poor pioneers bssssssss. the mix isn't bad at all. n(o)ice.
don't know, which is my favourite yet. only winners.

Very good, I read so many fresh and good ideas for future themes...
I suggested a couple of them myself (a long time ago) and they have already been used/recycled in here
other suggestions not used yet (to be revisited/recycled/combined or simply scrapped) :
- Maximalism (complex arrangement)
- Tv-Ad music (advertise an item = music for a commercial)
- Inspired by a dream
- Trio (emulate a 3-elements band)
- Transition (changing mood/arrangement/style,etc)
One of the past themes that could be succesful again is :
-> April 2007 - Midi Madness
We work on a given midi-file (or we can choose from 2/3) an we re-arrange it the way we like, keeping it recognizable
Cheers

I'm trying to upload my piece to Soundcloud but it takes me nowhere. This is the first time I've had an issue with Soundcloud. Has anyone had this happen, and if so, where else could I place the song?
Just close your eyes. You'll find all you need with your mind.
