The rest was cheaply made mainstream pop... :(
The Tony Iommi-penned Armenian song was particularly nauseating. I'd rather hear Ozzy sing "Dreamer" ten times in a row than have to listen to that tripe again. The off-key singing and the hero guitar solo were kind of funny, though.
I'd rather listen to Yerevan Nights: 8)

Don't you feel dirty right now.

I'm a bit disappointed with the Dutch result but yeah well...nice one Eurovision.

Congrats Denmark!

I had expected more camp/trashy stuff a la Romania.

Cascada was a really decent Eurodance tune which is just about 3 times better than I expected from them.

Really, it's amazing how I fall for this thing each year

Why do they have to make a vote if the so-called experts know some weeks earlier who will win?

Is it all a fake?? :-o :o

3) Dracula Skrillex

 Dracula Skrillex :lol  Good one Bonte!

My first thought when I heard anouk's song was "this should win but it so obviously won't" too. Shame. Lovely song.

:D
It had the most intricate melody and the best arrangement to be sure!

That was straight out of the Muppet Show (or maybe the Simpsons). Genius!

Ok, ok, I confess. I had to watch it. The whole shebang was hosted in my little small hometown called Malmö (population 280K), just across the bridge to Copenhagen. So I guess there's some sense and sisterhood to who won this year. :-)

@Luftrum - The Jante law is sooooo exaggerated. Read this and be proud instead:

"It isn't about Swedes or Nordics not being competitive, nor is it about them being individualistic, which I would argue they are far more than Americans or Britons. The Nordic model is being celebrated. These are economies that are fiercely competitive and huge global successes."

Besides, every country in Scandinavia thinks they are the only one's having this... "problem". I would say we all have a 6th sense to white lies, exaggeration and hollowness. See it as a resource, especially in these harsh and unstable times we live in. :-)

And.... we succeeded in doing a fantastic festival yet still saving quite a lot of money compared to the last few years excessive spending. Using it wisely. How hard can it be?

Go Scandianvia, go!

Montenegro were robbed. Didn't even make the final.

Less balladry, more rapping astronauts and £2.99 plastic Terminator woman please.

I listened to most songs too. Malta and Belgium were my favorites, the latter more for performance than originality, but well. Denmark: boring. Ukraine: I didn't get the song at all. What were they trying to do? Avoid every chance of a recognizable tune? Azerbajan: amazingly bland. And being Dutch myself, The Netherlands: too contrived. However, it was original and well performed, and certainly a lot better than what most countries dared to present...

Yeah, you got a point there but The Law is still there tough. Less dominant in the bigger cities, the further you come to the country side the bigger the Jante culture is. At least, that's my experience.

Yeah, hats off to the Netherlands for a genuinely decent song, good work.

Thought Romania were channelling Klause Nomi at one point (which can only be good). Liked Hungary and Maltas entries too, brave enough to not fall into the power ballad/europop trap.

Thumbs up to the producers too, thought the staging was really good. Obviously scaled things down a bit from recent years (no Republican Senate green room this year ;)) but didn't show where it counted. And poking fun at Ikea is to be encouraged. :)

I was wondering that; maybe we're now seen as a bunch of whiners who don't want to be in the gang anymore? Cheers Dave...
