just curious, why is the Giga version $10 cheaper than the Kontakt version?

The Kontakt version for all Bela D Media products are hand designed by our level 2 programmer, Rick Chadwick. The additional $9.99 is how he gets paid.

Keep your eyes on Rene's sfz+ - it sounds like in addition to soundfonts, it's gonna be the best Giga player (without doing format translation) short of Giga itself (-:
