both use the same technique.. a cascade of allpass filters to delay lower frequencies and delay networks as resonator or scattering.
fyi the waterverb is a meagre simulation.. might help but far from instant submersion..

haven't worked on this in a while.. it's a 1st order mass-spring reed with tuned delay bore and one register hole.
two delay bores are toggled to reduce note transition glitches.. there's a bunch of 'add-on' params on the gui..
the register hole can be positioned along the bore (numerically, 5.0 = 1/2 way, 3.33 = 1/3 along the bore from mouth et c..) and reflectivity at the register hole can be adjusted. sax and clarinets have different reg hole positions.
this results in very different harmonic regimes..
there is no internal feedback limiter so adjust this gently, with low monitors, and a limiter!
also important is the 'bell a' slider (reflected amplitude) is scaled from -1 to +1.. generally, only settings close to the middle on one axis will work for a patch.. the other axis will overload one axis will sound more cylindrical, one mre flared..
params are 'just there,' values may only have minute operational ranges..
no patches, used quickly for project and sharing as it's the best i've got for free pm reed atm :p
you will note the 'tuning reference' knob, which mixes in a sawtooth at the correct pitch for tuning by ear you should be able to get two close octaves out of it.

some hasty garbage midi plugs.. cc generator, random note generators.. very simple.
things i didn't find when i looked:
a "midi legato" -iser.. delays noteoff by a fixed period to turn single gated sequences into legato. two wraps of different ck midi delay modules (they have different feedback features).
a midi "serial" generator.. counts thru 16 note vals forwards backwards et c. note if you assign an lfo to 'offset' count past ends you get empty triggers (quickie)
serial generator is >=c3 to turn on, <b#2 to turn off, others are constant.

The reed one is awesome, its junky and if you turn the octave setting down, it sounds like a detuned saw....sort of.
I haven't got the midi plugs to do anything.

they're super scrap.. they work for me sans some of the ranges being wrong, eg. the note length and length variation on one of them (notegen3?) is ~10x usable scale.. i think i had to have the note length var set slightly above zero for the note length to register at all..

I got the midi ones to work, delay2 is sort of a looper, notgen is sort of a stuck note generator, lol.

these are the same mididelays from the 'quickies' zip, with the fake audio out pins added for ableton users.
i'll do a more polished version in the next few weeks..

For once I have to admit defeat with a plug-in of yours, xoxos.
I've been trying waterverb for months without really understanding it or making pleasan sounds, despite your good advice about filtering.
I like the threatening thrum of it enough that I just keep trying, though

Did you try unpleasant sounds ?

i've used it at least a dozen times.. tho for similar sounds. try a high pass filter after it.. in a way, it's sort of like a pitch shifter with feedback so it can chew your bass up.

'percussed metal' sounds
http://www.breathcube.com/msres7.zip
above with a 7-band resonator for low-cpu bell sounds
http://www.breathcube.com/msres7i.zip
above with the msres2 mass-spring removed.. simpler, more timbrally stable for bell sounds

percussion oriented synth.. two oscs that have minimum and maximum frequency ranges
le version removes a squishy limiter.. tho both are very low cpu.
