TugMidiSeq

Reviewed By komoro [all]

Version reviewed: 1.0 on Windows

Tried it in FLStudio with Layer and 5 Midi-Outs, that are connected with a Synth, MidiTugSeq then loaded as Insert-Effect. Learn the Midi-Notes (different notes played via Midi-Out and connected with the synth) with running Layer one time and the MidiTugSeq gets them and it runs quite well, but these learned notes always disappear when you stop the track and you cannot leave the Layer-button as the first step, because it plays all Midi-Outs then. In general I like it.

HoRNet Valvola

Version reviewed: 1.1.0 on Windows

Tried this one on drums and got some interesting results, but only with high Gain settings. The Tube overdrive is relatively fast sounding unnatural in the higher settings, but with subtle coloration and the additional Gain it brings some glue on the Drumbus. I experimented a little and was surprised as I realized that a Transformer like Transature from Analog Obsessions is bringing the sound extremely forward when it is positioned after Valvola in the signal chain. The coloration of the Valvola brings a gritty and rough restless sound to the ears and with added Transformer the unwanted distortion and dissonances disappear and bring some pretty good shine. Although the set-up of the Valvola is a little difficult it seems to be a better take on the tube-preamp sound. Phoenix from Shattered Glass Audio has more controls and EQ, but both plugins are very individual and the result is different with the similarity that both sound good.

I tried this one recently and was surprised of the many unusual features and the great chorus effect. Sounds very good and I like the own character of it. Loading wavetables is very easy and especially the easy-to-find tables for the Waldorf Blofeld are perfect matching with the WhispAir and make it very versatile. Good one.

Tried it with Grainstrain>Breadslicer>Glitch2 andf think its's good. Grainstrain brings additional control to the groove and the Breadslicer Gate is very useful to change the behaviour of Glitch2 and brings great results. Simple but effective.

I use it on the Master in FL Studio and it harmonizes with the Fruity Limiter very well and also runs stable all the time. The intelligent algorithms bring a really nice boost to the mix, especially the Limiter with additional Tape Saturation.

Nice freebie and I like the effect iin the background, that shows the overdrive amount. The Ratty Diode is awesome and that thing with the pre/post filters is also useful. Thank you very much.

Same here - FL Studio shows an error in the plugin-manager. I like the filter plugin (Synchronize) from them and hope they bring an updated version of this one.

This one is perfect for Drum-Sends. Put it on the Send-FX Channel and route the drums to it - done.

No laborious istallement. Just hit the cube and create one of the random effects, that sound very nice and and lead from Delays to Reverb. You will get interesting results and also can take it for your Instruments. The CPU-consumption is extremely low and it runs stable. For a freebie this one's awesome.

Tactical Nuke is an awesome device with so much tweaks. It sounds real good and has the opportunity to blend between 2 of the very much waveforms/tables which provides extreme creativity. It also has some unusual tweaks like "Bit-Rounding" or an additional filter. This makes it a good controllable device for creating unique sounds. Exceptional.
