Fire The Clip

Fire The Clip is the second Acqua plugin in the Fire series. Our aim was to create one of the best, most complete, and easiest to use digital ultra-linear clippers.

As any engineer knows, audio can be treated with various types of clippers. The market is full of them, and each one has its own distinct characteristics — but sometimes even small deficiencies will make them unappealing to the expert user, who needs a clipper of the highest quality to match his or her exacting standards.

After a phase of careful design, we are proud to present Fire the Clip, the second release in the Fire series of plugins. In essence, it was created to overcome the shortcomings of other "true peak" clippers on the market today. Thanks to its intrinsic, superbly dynamic features, you can achieve a level of competitive loudness without introducing artifacts or distortion through inter-sample peaks.
