Soniccouture has released Balinese Flutes: Modelled Wind Instrument for Kontakt Player.
Balinese Flutes, or Suling, are end-blown flutes played solo, together with gamelan ensembles, and occasionally in other ensembles. They're typically made of bamboo and have six sound holes. They vary greatly in size from the enormous suling gambuh to a tiny suling kantilan. Soniccouture has four in their collection.
Using phase-matching techniques, Soniccouture have created a dynamic, expressive instrument that they say is simple and inspiring to play.
