Press Play has updated the free plug-ins Stereo Helper and EnveLover.

The new releases include a few bug fixes and performance improvements and optimize plug-in behavior in many situations.

It is recommended to replace any older versions.

Changes in Stereo Helper 1.2.0:

  • Fixed:
    • Fix wrong processing order. Mid/side gain is now applied to input signal, before panning and width etc.
    • Swap channels would not work in some DAWs (e.g. REAPER), which is now fixed.
    • Improve (heavily) graphics performance on MacOS.
  • Changed:
    • Mono indicator is now always active, even in bypass mode.
    • Reduce plug-in file sizes.
  • Removed:
    • 32-Bit builds for Windows are history.
    • Distribute disk image file instead of installer on MacOS.

Fixed in EnveLover 1.0.3:

  • Bring back manual trigger and reset which had been removed from the automation parameters in the preceding release. This ensures backwards compatibility for existing projects.
  • Conflicts between MIDI events and manual trigger / reset have been resolved. MIDI note on/off messages are now equivalent to manual trigger/release events.
  • The behavior of the reset parameter has changed as part of the above bug fix. As long as the reset button is pressed (or due to automation respectively) it is not possible to trigger the envelope. After the reset button is released all MIDI notes and the trigger button must also be released before a new trigger event can be initiated.
