I did a reformat and a clean install of WinXP. I had updated to SP2 and the latest 5.10 Chipset drivers for the Nvidia Nforce 3 board. (DFI LANParty UT nF3 250Gb) Waves said it needed to reboot to update some system components. After the reboot the installer reached about 90% and the "Try It" dialog was supposed to be next. But I got, that horrible blue screen that forces you to shut the system off manually. I tried to reinstall Waves 3.6 and the same thing happened again? A perfect install, ruined. What the hell happened?

SP2 is the work of the devil!!! Not recommended for DAWs only for net boxes and even then its still problematic.

Waves has a really good support section in your account. reply within 1 day. So CONTACT THEM.
Why are you still using 3.6 ? I mean you can't anymore Challenge-Response this version. Do you use iLok?

This happens, if one installes a super old installation package on a super actual operating system.
The actual Waves main version number is 5.
Always a bad idea.
