I am new Bitwig user and I try to make my setup work in Bitwig. I really like Bitwig but I ran into a showstopper I hope I can resolve with help form the community.
I have a launchpad X. The launchpad X has custom modes. Here You can freely assing midi CC tot the pads of the launchpad. I use the buttons to mute drum parts, routing midi tracks to vst, turning effects on/off and controlling all kinds of parameters of VST plugins. I use them over different midi channels.

So I am looking for a script that give’s feedback on the led’s in custom mode of the launchpad.
The native bitwig drivers does not support this. I contacted Customers service and they told me so.
Does anyone know if there is such a script, I tried different scripts but no success so far,

I hope that some can help me out here.

Best regards
Quirien

Hey yo…

Does the launchpad do note on/off or can it also do cc? I’ll look into it… I got a Launchpad x. Can you share with me any details of your custom mode?

I think there is a way through this issue. There are many ways actually... but this comes to mind since you mentioned you were able to use the custom mode.

If its set to toggle it will turn the light on and off to your choosing.

Then on your remote mappings panel use RAW Midi. Set Value To... and then "off" or "on" while pressed.

With this method, I do not think it will sync the state of the LED but it will work once you cycle the physical button.

With the novation custom mapping modes there isn't a way to control the LEDs, this is all managed by the novation hardware.

To manage LED state you need to use the Programmer mode and build your own behavior with the Bitwig API. And if you did that and you don't need to map directly to ARM or SOLO... I'd recommend using the Project Remotes to do your control mapping. Still this would require a Bitwig extension to support that behavior.

I looked at the generic flexi and all i need is there but it seems that it is working in block's of 8, with only one block of 8 in 'focus'/control. I need ' hardwired' like connections, always the same output and leds in sync no matter what, and i need 60+ of them...... I invested a lot of time in Bitwig and I have experienced that it is the best DAW to my needs, but now i'm stuck and still searching for a solution to com over
