SC in Group List

What does the check box SC in the group list mean? I can't find any explanation in the manual ...

Self-choke. It determines whether a group with a choke-group assigned will choke itself as well as others in the same group. YOu are right, it seems that manual change is not merged.

The SC is activated by deafault. This would not affect the sound if no choke-group is assigned, right?
