Generated vst2 plugin does not output sound

Hey guys,

I would really appreciate your help on this issue that I could not figure out.

I purchased Maize sampler v2.7 and created a vst3 plugin with seven Do Re Mi sample vocal wave files assigned to white keys from C4 to C5. I was able to use my MIDI keyboard (Arturia MicoLab) to play the vocal within the Mazie Sampler Editor as well as use VSTHost to verify that the generated vst3 plugin works.

Since I need to generate vst2 plugin which v2.7 could not, I downloaded v2.6 and created a new project, however I was unable to play the vocal within the Mazie Sampler, neither the generated vst2 plugin outputs sound. I even downloaded other older versions like v2.4, v2.5.8, but none of them output any sound, neither within the Mazie Sample nor the generated vst2 plugin.

What is my blind spot ?
