Happens with Synthmaster 2.5 and with Dune 1.3.1 (with others like Sylenth1, IL Plugins not):

Open a new session
Insert one of those plugins in a rack
Delete the plugin from the rack
Minimize MU.LAB
Open "My Workspace" (I hope it's called so in english :) )

MU.LAB crashes (quits) here every time

Problem confirmed. Researching it further...

Can you please try using this test version:

http://www.mutools.com/mulab/test

Installation notes cfr application patch cfr http://www.mutools.com/mulab/patch/Read%20Me.Txt

In this test version i changed the way modal windows are managed.
The DUNE crash should be gone, but lets make sure the rest of the app still behaves well. My tests here said yes, but curious for your feedback too.

That's strange :o

I could repeat the crash earlier by deleting dune and then clicking the close button of the mulab window. But that's stable now here.

What's "My Workspace"?

Perhaps, we are talking about different things here...

I talked about deleting one of these plugins and minimize MU.LAB...

Then open up the "My Computer" (sorry, I called it before "My Workspace")...

If I do this, MU.LAB quits here without warning...

Yes i understood that.

Yes can repeat it.

Ok, based on what i can see it's a DUNE issue.
I can repeat the same crash in EXT.

When doing the same in another host, then make sure DUNE is really deleted out of RAM, for example by doing New or similar so that the Undo/Redo history is cleared (otherwise DUNE is not really deleted out of RAM)

If you would contact Synapse, tell them that after deleting DUNE there is a remaining thread created by DUNE, a thread with an invalid window handle, window tagged "GDI+ Window", "GDI+ Hook Window Class".
They can contact me if needed.

Wow, New cleans up memory. Haven't considered that yet. 8)

That's a good topic for "tipps&tricks" I think, isn't it?

Isn't that quite logical?! And it applies to most software.

Of course it is logical - at least for power users or an experienced developer.

Maybe it is not for musician-only people or a garden gnome like me.
