ASIO4ALL problem

I discovered why ASIO does not work in my demo of RapidComposerLE ...
It seems that I can't have the MIDIout: Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth enabled and ASIO running at the same time as ASIO4ALL and Microsoft GS Wavetable synth aren't capable of using the same drivers simultaneously.
In order for ASIO4ALL to work, there must be a way to disable the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth inside RapidComposer.
Regards, James

Hi James,
thanks for figuring this out. Today I fixed this issue by making it possible to select "None" as the MIDI Output. In addition setting up the default MIDI Out is made smarter: if there is no MIDI output, just the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, "None" will be selected by default, if there are other MIDI outputs those will be used.
I will upload an update tomorrow (7th) which has this fix.
Thanks,
Attila

Hi James,
if you download the v1.44 update, you will find a "None" option for MIDI Output. So select "None", quit RC, start it again and then hopefully you can use ASIO4ALL.
RC is now much smarter selecting the default MIDI output: it will avoid selecting "MS GS Wavetable Synth", so it will choose "None" or other devices when available.
You can install the update over the previous installation, no need to uninstall the old version.
Thanks,
Attila
