Hi all,

Vadim Zavalishin (DrSync) and NI have officially made SynC Modular freeware as of today.

The codes are:

Name: Free registration
Code: eCDiPa-kbbmPZ-zGDJuyU
Note that you must retain the character case in both lines.

Great! SynC was the first plug-in or synth I ever bought, but its been running in evaluation mode on my system ever since I lost my serial number.

Nice to get it back finally!

I'd never heard of this before. Maybe others need to be enlightened as well . . .

Windows 95 / 98 / NT

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
- Intel Pentium or higher or compatible CPU
(Intel Pentium II, Celeron or higher is strongly recommended)
- 32MB RAM (minimum)- 10MB hard disk free space (minimum)
- audio card capable of playing back 16-bit audio.

flexibility to the modular synthesis on PC. How about more than 30 synthesized strings
voices with effects at 44kHz on PII-350? (5 detuned sawtooths running through envelope-
controlled filter and amplifier, chorus and reverb, all built with SynC Modular!)

Features: realtime synthesis, multitimbrality, sequencer interfacing, included tutorials

But I don't think thats the latest version. He released an update after development had officially stopped, which added audio inputs IIRC, and possibly other stuff... I'm on version 2.21 and my installer file is called sm221.exe

Considering that the initial post was from ew, I'm sure it's real. I don't suppose it's available via the NI site?

Could we have an "official" follow-up with links by the original poster?
