bascially i want to write some uptempo trancy music with heavy leads. i want the most freaking ecstatic/beautiful lead anyone can imagine. saws are a good bet i know.
if anyone come across sg usable dont hold it back. thanks.

what synths do you have available to you. i know i would go straight to my virus for this kinda job, but if you have sylenth that might be a good starting point.
As for the sound itself. I'm of 2 schools of thought. 1 part of me says that sexy leads are the old sqaure/sine leads from the 70's & GFunk rap. Played real high & with lots of portmento/delay/reverb with nice mod wheel pitch bends.
The other half of me says, the modern ripping detuned saw/squares with one OSC 7 semitones up and a bit of detuning to get that really thick chord like sound.
I'm heading out now but i'll keep thinking and see what i come up with.

yes, good shot, but im more into concrete examples.
im pretty well informed in synthesis and sound design, i need sg like this:
- unison, able to operate with tiny amounts, also able to adjust precisely.
- cheap, digital oscillators which are kinda sound bitcrushed by default
- a filter with a tearing resonance
- nineties feel.

oh btw if you havent found it i found i cool lead (fits the bill)what i want to recreate lol... thats why i printed out the details . not cause a lovely sounding synth must sound digital or sumtin haha

sounds to me like you already know what you want, and how to make it, so my suggestion would be get cracking and let us know how you go.
