I don't get it. No direct link? I can't find a 5TB SSD drive for $129 on Amazon, nor have I ever seen one for that price anywhere else.
You are right it's now $119 this is the one I have

All you have to do is go on Amazon and do a simple search you wil find many like this one

Those are HDD, not SSD.
Try this (4TB) at twice the price:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=ssd+4tb&crid ... _sb_noss_1

I've actually been shopping for these the last couple of weeks to upgrade my studio box to a triple boot system. And this thread has me wondering more about giving Phaseplant a go...

Yeah, don't confuse SSD with HDD. Makes a huge difference, not just in price. SSD prices have been very stagnant the past 3 - 4 years and it even looks like they are getting slightly more expensive per byte (though to be fair, they are faster and probably last longer).

A guitarist is never creative unless she designs her own guitar.

Ok, so today I've learned that Kevin Schroeder or Luftrum are not creative.

Things I learn on KVR...
How is buying or selling presets creative? Oh, yes, perhaps making presets is creative, but then again, maybe not. That's for adults to discuss.

Again, buying a guitar doesn't make you an artist.

That's not an SSD though.

5TB for SSD is more like double of this amount for the first prices...
Once again you insult me yet it's you who are ignorant to basic facts. Your self own is stunning. Here is a hint the next time you go to insult me spend like 15 seconds on Google or Amazon and do a search
That's an HDD drive, not SSD.
Edit: didn't realise so many people already pointed it out. I went straight from notifications to reply.

You are correct, I typed the wrong thing, it's been corrected, apologies for the error

In any case it works just fine for sample libraries

Welcome to logic for dummies!

All dogs have four legs. All four legged animals are dogs.

Your idiotic contention was, and I quote, "In other words, you're going to use presets, you're not actually going to be creative". You present a factual statement that it is not ever possible to be creative if you are using a preset. Creatively is exclusively reserved for those who design all their own sounds.

Buying a guitar will not make our wannabe guitarist an artist, there we agree. But with a logical mis-step a mile high you go further - our guitarist in fact can NEVER be creative unless she designs her own guitar and pickups. A Strat is just a preset machine, after all.

Also pianists are all dumb animals while we're at it. And don't get me started on trumpeters.

I have to say, I would have never guessed that just one question would create such a big thread. I am all for it though! Happy to read all of this ;) (sometimes not so happy, you can help by talking to me lol).

No that's your words not mine. I mean you could try being sincere and make a point.

So it's possible to be creative with presets, but the YOU who you were talking to will specifically not be creative using presets?

You know a Cajon is just a box and an Udo is just a jug. I've been creative with both.
