Here's my submission. It's quite a departure from my usual submissions and it's somewhat selfish in nature since it's based on something very specific to me. It's a bit of a gag project... that ended up being a lot of work anyway!

I like to play through classic 8-bit turn based RPG's, so I wanted to make a submission based on that - like someone is playing an old game in the background, going from the title screen, to a town, dungeon and battles... However, I also wanted to add a realistic element to it, so I added an overly eager drummer to the mix, to the dismay of the person trying to play the game...

It uses about 66 instances of Charlatan 3.
DAW: Reaper 7.07
FX Used:
ToneBoosters v3: EQ, Compressor, Reverb, BusComp, Barricade, FLEX and ReelBus
Fuse Audio Labs VPRE-72
PeakEater

Seems everyone is leaving it to the last day to post this time. Yesterday it was looking to be a small group but it probably has doubled now.

I thought there might be a flurry of entries in the last hour. Already I've heard some powerful tracks for this round.
"I can't listen to the Ninth anymore at all."

it's been a little while since I've entered but the bird is back for this month.

22 instances of Charlatan3 in Reaper
fairly light on external fx this time, so just a handful of ReaComp plus Valhalla Supermassive, GClip, ReaEQ, SlickEQ, and ReaLimit. The only external effect that's doing anything really special is a customized version of arp!0 that I made to support different octave sizes.
Speaking, of, this track is tuned in 15edo.
mostly here for the One Synth Challenge

Being a Windows/Linux only plug-in there's a long list of tracks here. I was very happy about this new Charlatán iteration even before seeing/hearing/using It.
Karrikuh has done a BIG job here, and I suggest everyone having suggestions or issues to write a post in the beta thread, or just say hi, and drop a thank you there.
And remember sharing patches, it's easy to do so.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your job & hearing these tracks.

I love music, worked with a number of music/rhythm/dance games like Pump It Up, In The Groove, Cytus and Deemo, and teach music production.

All Spectral Plugins are now free.

Nice, thank you.
It's a pity that Spectral Plugins couldn't sustain itself. I only know about them because of a videoblogger, don't know to which extent he was involved in the company himself. Good call, though. Less abandonware on the planet.

I'd never heard of Spectral until someone on Discord mentioned that they'd closed their doors.

In a very saturated market, it must be extremely difficult for small indie devs to stay afloat (or impossible in this case).

I just don't get what are your expenses in this case, honestly. If you're not hiring people. The VPS/storefront is like $4-10 a month. But that's hardcore offtopic :) thank you for correcting me.

I had an amazing amount of fun with this one!
This instrument is designed exceptionally well.
This has resulted in one of the most “Unknown Challenger” things ever made. :D

support for the software, where as some will continue selling abandoned software it seems that they're good guys who have moved on and are giving people their software sin support.

its a shame because pancz and their reverb plugin thing are really nice.

Voted.
Nice tracks (and not so, also, including the one I posted). Anyway, nice community and behaviour of the contestants, no matter the result, I've learned a lot from those tracks and the way other musicians create & build OSC tracks. Maybe next I'll do things in a more planned way. Good luck everyone!
I'll hear it back during these days before deadline, I didn't fully heard the last posted tracks, may I could change my opinion about those.
Oh, and I added Charlatan as Related product to this post.
