Direct Box into Audio Interface?

It depends... not usually.
If your audio interface only has mic inputs, you might want to use a DI box. However, most audio interfaces with mic pres, have a switch to select between mic and instrument level. No need to use a DI box in that case.
If your interfaces only has line inputs a passive DI Box may reduce the output level making it even less suitable for a line input. If your interface has only line inputs then a preamp with a line out or an active DI would be better options.
DI Boxes were mostly intended for use to get an unbalance/high impedance guitar signal into a mixer with balanced/low impedance mic inputs.
